Nail Art: Green Fall Florals!

Hey y'all!Today on the blog I am sharing some more fall nail art with you. This time using deep, rich greens with a hint of sparkle.

I started with a base of Nail Envy to strengthen and protect my natural nails. Once that was dry, I went in with Sally Hansen Loden Green, from the Complete Salon Manicure line on my index and middle. Now, this color is a love it or hate it kind of color but I'm in the love it camp so I based this entire mani around it. Anyway, then I used Lollipop Posse Lacquer Inside My Head on my ring and pinkie fingers to give it some bling and sparkle. I am head over heels for Inside My Head - its a blackened green jelly base with scattered holo micro glitter and dark gold flakies all throughout it. STUNNING! Once my base colors were dry, I stamped Loden Green with M Polish Elizabethan and Uber Chic Beauty 4-03. I had considered doing leaves but that is very popular right now so I switched it up and went floral. I added a couple of dots on my ring and pinkie, also with Elizabethan. I sealed everything in with Essie Gel Setter and I wore this mani for 3 full days!

I was going to do a full review of Essie Gel Setter but I never wear my manis long enough to say whether its wear time is actually longer or not. Perhaps I can do it on my cindy hand? Would you want to read a review on it?

What do you think of this mani? Do you like the "ugly" pretty colors?

Bestie Twin Nails with The Polished Perspective!

Hey y'all! Today on the blog I have a bestie twin nails post to share with you. This time with my good friend - The Polished Perspective! Make sure you go check out her blog and Instagram - she is so talented!

This is also my 100th blog post! Whaaaaa? I really couldn't have chosen a better post for the 100th, I can't believe I've come on here 100 times to write things. Thank you guys so much for reading and watching me grow as a nail blogger and nail artist over the last year plus. I have learned so much and hope to keep learning and growing as my blog grows! Anyway, let's jump right in, shall we?

Bestie Twin Nails with The Polished Perspective

We decided to do some watercolor nail art based on the image at the top there - found by TPP (The Polished Perspective). I tried to start out doing watercolor flowers but that was a fail so I did a watercolor base and drew some black floral outlines with acrylic paints instead!

I started with a base of Orly White Tips. Then I started blobbing Shinespark Pumped Pink, Psych'd Purple, and Yuppie Yellow on different areas of my nails. While the polish was still wet, I used a nail art brush and some pure acetone to thin out the small blobs and sort of smear them around on my nails until they had combined a little. I waited for all of that to dry and then used a striping brush to hand paint the floral details over the watercolor. Once the acrylic was dry, I topcoated everything with OPI Matte Topcoat.

I really love how these turned out! What do you think?

Thanks for reading!
