Born Pretty Store Pineapple Stamping Plate Review!

Hey y'all! Today on the blog I have a review of another stamping plate from Born Pretty Store. This is the third of four items I was sent for review. This plate is one of the many small round plates that are available from Born Pretty Store. Keep reading after the break to see what I did to create a mani with this plate!

Qgirl-003 from bornprettystore.com

This plate had me stumped a little at first because unlike some of their plates, this one's images didn't immediately make sense together. I usually prefer my stamping plates to have a theme or images that have something in common. While I did like using this plate in terms of quality, I can't say that I would have necessarily picked this one out on my own to purchase because its a bit random. That being said, I do love the images separately and do see getting a lot of use out of it. The images that I tested, including the pineapple all pick up very nicely in one or two tries with the stamper which is pretty typical for me. I would recommend this plate to anyone who is looking for a variety of images on a small plate that are good for leadlighting or advanced stamping.

So I started with the plate this time, instead of picking a polish first like I usually do because I wasn't sure the direction that I wanted to go. I had seen Ana's Manis use the ducks image and her mani was SO cute but I didn't want to accidentally copy her so I decided to use the pineapples. They're perfect to use for advanced stamping or leadlighting purposes. Once I had picked my image, I instantly knew the polish I would use - Lorelei Lacquer BMO 2.0 because it has a green crelly base with yellow and pinkish red glitter throughout it. I thought it was so cute together! Once I stamped the larger pineapple image onto my Creative Shop stamper and allowed it to dry, I went back and filled in the top with Aruba and the bottom with Jamaica, both also being from Lorelei Lacquer. I allowed the image to dry on my stamper and top coated it to turn it into a decal. Once the topcoat dried, I carefully peeled the decal off my stamper and placed it onto my tacky nail (I put some topcoat over Orly White Tips and waited for it to be mostly dry) and carefully smoothed it down. Once it was all dry on my nail, I top coated with OPI Matte Top Coat and I was finished!

If you want to pick up this plate, you can find it HERE and don't forget to use my code, PPPQ10 for 10% off your order!

What do you think of this mani? Which images would you have used?

Thanks for reading!

  4. Such a cute mani! I see what you mean about the plate though. The flowers could be fun for a leadlighting mani too.
