Today on the blog I have this Jamberry inspired nail art to share with you. A group of nail friends and I partake in a weekly challenge and this mani was a product of a "recreate a Jamberry wrap" weekly challenge. I was really pleased with how they came out. I'm also playing around with hand poses so I am showing a new one in this post.
Let me start with showing you what I used to create this mani:
Left to right (front): KBShimmer Clearly On Top, Qtica Natural Nail Growth Stimulator, NYC Tudor City Teal, Orly Steal The Spotlight, and Sally Hansen Xreme Wear Pep-Plum. (Back): Acrylic craft paints for the details |
So I started out with the Qtica for my base coat as usual to protect my natural nail and then added a couple of coats of NYC Tudor City Teal to my index, middle, and ring fingers as a base color for the nail art. I added Orly Steal the Spotlight to my pinkie and thumb for some sparkly goodness. Once my base color was dry, I used white acrylic paint to make the dots, Sally Hansen Pep-Plum for the base of my roses, and light purple acrylic paint for the details of the roses. I went back with two different green acrylic paints for the leaves of the roses. Once it was all dry, I topped with KBShimmer Clearly On Top to seal everything in!
Here's another shot of my mani with the wrap on the left to show my inspiration:
What do you think of this mani? Have you ever used Jamberry or recreated one of their wraps?

So much better than Jamberry ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mani, you did great job recreating the floral pattern.
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty! I never tried these wraps.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! No I haven't tried them or recreated them. I'm not a fan of applying wraps so I tend to avoid them.

ReplyDeleteI've heard that jamberry is a total pain to apply. I'll pass, I'd rather paint my nails. Your recreation and color combo is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to recreate a jamberry look, since I would never buy them. Oops. Lol! Lovely manicure!
ReplyDeleteI like to stamp and have never tried Jamberry plus their reps are annoying to say the least. I love your mani though especially the roses!!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely!! SOOOOOO much better than Jamberry!
ReplyDeleteI have used Jamberry before. I like to use them as an accent nail since I'm not very good at nail art. That being said, I prefer to paint my nails because I like to change them often and the Jams last too long for that on me.
ReplyDeleteI love the roses!
ReplyDeleteYou had me at Jamberry inspired lol. Definitely better than Jamberry!
ReplyDeleteI would never use any wrap products but I love your version better anyway!
ReplyDeleteI love it!! Better than jamberry by far!
ReplyDeleteYou did a gorgeous job with this! Better than the inspiration! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job lovely :D I usually find wraps rake waaay longer than the actual nail art but there are some really cool ones out there.
