Nail Art: My Birthday Mani!

Hey y'all! Today on the blog I'm showing you the mani I wore for my birthday! I turned the big 29 on January 5th so of course I had to have some fun nails to celebrate the occasion. I wanted something that looked like birthday cake and super fun yumminess so I went all out! Let me show you what I did:

I started by picking the crelly that is on my pinkie and ring finger to base the mani around. I used Madam Glam Fun In A Bottle because it just screamed fluffy, fun frosting to me. Since there are many different neon glitters in that crelly, I decided to pair a watermarble with it using neon colors. I laid down a white base first using GGal White Pointer. Once that was mostly dry, I placed liquid latex from Nail Experiments around my cuticle and down my finger a bit to protect my skin from the excess polish. Once my latex had dried, I used Shinespark Polish Pumped Pink, Psych'd Purple, and Bouncing' Blue for the watermarble because they work so well! I drew a flower petal design in the polish using my Pure Color #7 tool from WhatsUpNails. I immediately pulled off the latex and allowed my design to dry. Once it was mostly dry I used a tiny dotting tool to add the white dots in to help tie it in with the crelly even more. Once everything was dry, I topcoated with KBShimmer Clearly On Top to seal it all in! 

Since I had some fancy nails, my husband surprised me and took me for fancy sushi for dinner: 

On my actual birthday, I got to sleep in until 11am (big deal when you have kiddos!) while my husband cleaned the house and played with my boys. We just spent the day relaxing and being together. I had cheesecake for my birthday cake (because cheesecake is the best baked confection) and had presents after my kids went to sleep. Bright and sparkly watermarble!

Hey y'all! Today on the blog I have these super sparkly neon watermarble nails to share with you. I'm sort of just documenting them for shiggles because I sort of just did them for shiggles. So keep reading to see these fun and sparkly nails I did! 

I started with two coats of Color Club Harp On It as my base on all nails. Once that was dry, I used Funky Fingers Power Play, Limelight, and Kingston, along with Sally Hansen Pacific Blue and Color Club Harp On It in my watermarble. I did my usual technique along with my semi new watermarble tool from Whatsup Nails to get the right design which in this case was meant to be random and different. I topped everything with Seche Vite fast dry topcoat. Here's another look:

Watermarble and stamping!

Today on the blog, I have some super fun watermarble nails to show you! I was positively thrilled with the outcome of this mani. I wore it for 3 full days because I loved it so much. 

Watermarble nails using Shinespark Polish's 80's Neon Collection

Here's what I used to create this look:

Back row, left to right: QTica nail growth stimulator, Orly White Tips, Funky Fingers Dark Knight, INM Northern Lights, KBShimmer Clearly On Top. Front row, left to right: Shinespark Polish Pumped Pink, Yuppie Yellow, Psych'd Purple, Bouncin' Blue, and Glam Green. Stamping Plate in the front is Cici&Sisi Plate 03.

I started with a base of Orly White Tips after applying my base coat. I allowed it to mostly dry and applied a liquid latex barrier around my finger for the watermarble. I started dropping the polish into the water in the order that I showed them above, made a random design, and dipped my fingers one at a time. I actually wasn't planning on stamping these at first but this watermarble was NOT my best work and I didn't have time to redo an entire mani. I had seen my lovely friend Megatuce stamp over a neon watermarble so I just went with it. I used Funky Fingers Dark Knight to stamp my design and sealed it all in with KBShimmer Clearly On Top. I love it!

Watermarble using M Polish!

Today on the blog, I have a simple post for you showing these pink and nude watermarble nails. 

Watermarble using KBShimmer In Bare Form as a base and M Polish Annette for the marble.

Here's a picture showing what I used for this look:

I started with 3 coats of KBShimmer In Bare Form as a base color for my watermarble. Once it had a few minutes to mostly dry, I placed liquid latex around my nail to protect my skin from the polish. Using M Polish Annette and a clear polish from Sally Hansen called Clear'd For Takeoff, I created the watermarble that you see above. Once it had dried for a few minutes, I added my favorite new topcoat: KBShimmer Clearly On Top. 

I was really happy with how this turned out, although it was cloudy that day so I wasn't able to capture the sparkle of In Bare Form which is always a bummer. Why is it always cloudy when I want to wear a holo?!

Watermarble and glitter!

Today on the blog I have a super girly mani. I decided to plan an entire mani around the glitter on my middle and thumb. 

Colors used to achieve this look are Dermelect Opulence,Sinful Colors Thimbleberry, Color Club Taurus, and Pahlish Glittoris. The studs are also from Color Club.
