Hey y'all! I have a simple post on the blog for you today - just sharing with you some of my nail art this year so far for Halloween! I'm participating in the #pymoct2015 nail art challenge and of course the majority are Halloween themed so I've been going all out. I saw someone refer to Halloween as the high fashion or "vogue" part of the year where people go nuts with special effects, etc because...HALLOWEEN! I'm going to show you a few that I've done so far!
The first prompt for #pymoct2015 was green. I used Mango Bunny Fern Bunny as my base and used the smokey technique that I saw +SloppySwatches use on her Youtube channel to make it sort of creepy and foggy. I loved how it looked over the green jelly base with all of those white glitters poking through.
Here's another one that I did - this one's prompt was monster. I decided to be ironic and use super girly colors and technique (the glitter gradient) for this zombie monster mani. The polishes are from Lorelei Lacquer - the Walking Dead duo and the stamped image came from my UberChic Beauty Zombie Love stamping plate.
Spiders are creepy and gross and...cute? The prompt here was orange so I incorporated SinfulColors Hazard into this spider dotticure. I also used Zoya Willa and M Polish To Have and To Holo. The spider webs came from a Cici&Sisi plate and they're double stamped with M Polish Cayuga and Hottie. The spiders were done with a dotting tool by hand.
The last one to show you today was one of my favorites! Who would have guessed you could pair bright green with a red glitter jelly? Not me! The prompt for this one was witch, so I channeled the Wicked Witch of The West in this mani. The green and black are both Zoya - Zoya Willa (black) and Zoya Tilda (green). The glitter is a black jelly with red glitter from Deborah Lippman called Red Ruby Slippers. You'll notice a difference in nail shape here, I definitely broke one of my points and tried out this coffin/ballerina shape to save myself from having to cut them all down. I like the shape but can't wait for my claws to be back!
So that's it for today's post! I am loving this month mani-wise, I feel so inspired and I have seen a ton of amazing nails on Instagram and Facebook.
Do you like Halloween? What's your favorite holiday to celebrate it on your nails?
Thanks for reading!
